-  Planetization will mark the beginning of a new era of planet-wide peace. It's the road that leads us toward the ‘Thousand Years of Peace’, ‘Heaven on Earth’, or New Age, many prophets and visionaries throughout the ages have foretold.

"Man is not the center of the universe as we once thought in our simplicity, but something much more wonderful - the arrow pointing the way to the final unification of the world."

                                                                                   Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

     - It will create a species-wide powerful force for good as we assert our right to define ourselves by bringing into being a new, higher order 'We' based on our species identification and our collective desire everywhere for peace, justice and a 'fair share' for all.

    - It will bring into being a new Earth/human bond, one based on a deeply felt emotional connectivity, love, and gratitude toward our Earth. Our concern for the environment will no longer be specific and local, but will embrace the physical totality of our home planet - and all who also call Earth home. A renaissance of not only environmental renewal, but environmental glorification, beautification and planet-wide habitat restoration will give more concrete expression to the deepening love and connection we will everywhere feel toward our Earth, and all the rest of the natural world. It grounds us once more in The Web of Life and restores our right relationship to the rest of creation.

"(N)ative Americans... see things in more than a human-to-human context. It is a perspective that involves human beings, animals, plants, the natural environment, and the metaphysical world of visions and dreams."

                                                         How it Differs

For more than five centuries now we’ve known that our Earth is an orb existing within a larger Cosmic backdrop. We've known it intellectually, but haven’t yet truly integrated our Earth's 3-dimensionality in a meaningful way. In terms of spatial awareness, we're still ‘Flatlanders’ existing in a two-dimensional Universe. We haven't yet developed a ‘felt sense’ of the 3 dimensionality of non-local space that we really inhabit.

Planetization requires us to 3-Dimensionalize our non-local spatial orientation. Such an expanded felt sense of 'where we are' is not as difficult to achieve as it may sound. Like any major advance in human thinking, it will come about naturally and gradually, as more and more people are exposed to the Planetization paradigm, 'mull it over', and begin to realize for themselves the higher truth it contains. This is how our consensually validated reality has always evolved; slowly... and over time, as more and more people begin to resonate with some new truth whose time has come. And as more and more people become familiar with the Planetization paradigm, they'll begin to experience firsthand its more expanded and evolved spatial orientation, and the greater degree of awareness that comes with it. It's always been through a process of gradual awakening that a 'critical mass', or tipping point, eventually leads us to collectively evolve our consensually-based understanding of reality.

"When the setting is right, the laws of nature inexorably work their way and planets spring to life, becoming biotic, then Noosphere-producing, noetic, and ever reaching for something more."

                              3-Dimensionalizing our Existence in Space

The present paradigm binds and restricts our awareness to a 2-dimensional 'Flatlander' spatial perspective that has 'length' (North/South) and 'width' (East/West) - but not 'depth'. An analogy to this is the difference between a euclidean geometry of 2-dimensional shapes, and the more advanced non-euclidean geometry of 3-dimensional objects. There's no limit to how far imaginary Flatlanders living on a flat 2-dimensional circle can move away from each other, for example. Their flat circle world can stretch into infinity. But living on a 3-dimensional spherical object, those same imaginary beings could only move away from each other up to a point - before any further movement actually began to bring them closer again.

Like Flatlanders, we perceive our Nation States as existing 2-dimensionally alongside each other (having length and width), with vast lateral distances between say, China and the United States. Only the higher 3-dimensional perspective of Planetization can resolve the illusory 'Flatlander' sense we now have of vast lateral distances between us, and separating us, and provide us with an understanding of our true state of unity, living as we do on the same spherical object - our Earth. Some ideas more in tune with the broader perspective of Planetization are already cropping up in our mainstream culture. For example, the notion of 'unlimited growth' is being replaced with a new emphasis on the need to protect our finite planetary resources. Also, our electronic communications, especially the internet, is creating more of a sense that we're all here together in the same 'global village', rather than living in isolation within our national and ethnic enclaves.
