INNER WORK

LONGER SAMPLE INNER WORK EXERCISE FOR OUR ANIMAL RELATIONS

Find a comfortable spot, close your eyes and relax. Take several deep, cleansing breaths. If you have a personal routine you use to prepare yourself for any inner work, such as surrounding yourself with Divine White Light, grounding yourself to Earth, etc., you can do that as well. Once relaxed and centered inwardly, visualize in your mind’s eye an image of Earth within the backdrop of space. Hold this image in awareness. Begin to get a sense of all of all of humankind collectively focused on the larger Cosmic/Planetary dimension of our existence.

Maintain and deepen this sense of all of us collectively focused on our planetary presence. Feel it. Feel it being experienced by all people everywhere. All our habitual busywork and pre-occupations are suspended as we collectively take this time out to feel and experience our quite literal and concrete togetherness on our home planet, within the depth and grandeur of space. Widen and expand your perspective beyond your present ego, beyond your physical body to become ONE with this collective centering on our planetary Presence and Togetherness. Feel yourself firmly grounded in awareness and At-One-Ment with all of humankind in this more expanded spatial orientation. Begin to get a sense of how our former, more limited ways of orienting ourselves spatially by nations and continents pales in comparison, and how this more expansive perspective renders those old ways largely insignificant.

Once grounded in Planetary Presence and Togetherness, sense all of us everywhere, collectively begin to focus on our animal relations. Sense a united humankind now focused on loving, and honoring, all animals everywhere. They have been our constant companions throughout our long evolutionary journey... Their innate beauty and joyous nature glorifies our Earth...  As a species, we now begin to collectively express our deep gratitude to them, and our Love for them, by mentally repeating the following lines over and over again for as long as it feels right to do so.

We love, honor, and respect, our animal relations.

We rejoice in the beauty and magnificence

of their most holy and sacred Divine beings.

We love our animal relations very, very much.

In Oneness, we intensify our deepening Love for all animals everywhere.... With our wave aspect, we become the Love, Caring, Celebration, and deepening Respect for all animals as it flows through all humans everywhere, on every continent, a powerful wavefront of Love radiating out from each human heart to encircle our Earth and saturate our Collective Consciousness Field in its intensifying appreciation, and Love for all animals everywhere. For those who run in great herds... leap through branches under rainforest canopies... or howl from snowy cliffs at an Arctic Moon... we now express our overflowing, unbounded Love for them, and celebrate the beauty and grace of their Souls... To honor them we repeat again mentally the bold-faced passage below for as long as it feels right to do so.

We love, honor, and respect, our animal relations.

We rejoice in the beauty and magnificence

of their most holy and sacred Divine beings.

We love our animal relations very, very much.

We especially feel an intensifying Love and Appreciation for all the animal companions of fur, feather or fin who shared their lives with humankind from our earliest days... who blessed our homes through countless generations with their affection, beauty and joy, and were our most loving and faithful companions... Though their names may be long forgotten, we now honor the memory of them all as we repeat again inwardly, over and over again, the following passage.

We love, honor, and respect, our animal relations.

We rejoice in the beauty and magnificence

of their most holy and sacred Divine beings.

We love our animal relations very, very much.

We've greatly reduced our human population by not reproducing as much. We've restored great wilderness areas and natural habitats. The full range and depth of animal intelligence, emotions and sentience is known once again to all of humankind. We behold all animals now in their own right, in the full glory and beauty of their innate dignity, intelligence, compassion, and depth of emotion. In celebration of them all, we begin to repeat again inwardly, over and over, the following passage.

We love, honor, and respect, our animal relations.

We rejoice in the beauty and magnificence

of their most holy and sacred Divine beings.

We love our animal relations very, very much.

Everywhere children are now taught the 4 ‘R’s. Reading. Writing. Arithmetic – and Respect for all living beings- especially our animal relations. We've made great strides in the field of Inter-Species Communication. We now know firsthand what our animal relations think, what they feel, their memories, desires and ways of viewing the world. Many of us now have also experienced swimming with wild dolphins, if and when they choose to share their joyful nature with us. The oceans of Earth once again teem with dolphin, whale and porpoise nations as well as many other species, now that the fishing trawlers of old are a thing of the past. We've planted acres of orchards of the favorite foods of deer, bear, moose and squirrel to forage and browse without fear, at the outskirts of our human settlements. We've torn up the concrete in our now deserted cities to expand their wilderness areas, and have given great areas of land back to animal communities in the wild now that our human population has been greatly reduced.

We've built them shelters high in treetops, and abandoned barns and stables are kept in good repair for animals to shelter in at will, for however long or short a time they wish to. In these and many other acts of reconciliation and devotion, we've expressed our regret for our past sins and crimes against them. People now come together everywhere in small groups; on every continent, along coasts, deep within forests and atop mountains to sweat, dance, and drum prayers of exuberant rejoicing and celebration of all animals everywhere... This is now an accepted part of our spiritual practice as humans. In various human languages and cultures we come together this way regularly to honor and bless all animals everywhere.. In this spirit of reconciliation and renewal, and in Appreciation and Love for them we begin to repeat again inwardly, over and over, the following words,

We love, honor, and respect, our animal relations.

We rejoice in the beauty and magnificence

of their most holy and sacred Divine beings.

We love our animal relations very, very much.

Still relaxed, begin to become aware once again of your body and your physical surroundings... Take 3 or 4 deep, cleansing breaths... Slowly open your eyes... Sit in stillness for a few more moments to reflect on this inner work session you just completed. If you’d like to stay with the experience a little while longer, write down your feelings and any insights or images that came to you as you were engaged in the exercise, and any after-thoughts or ideas that might come to you concerning future sessions.
