                                                            Our Cosmic Grounding

The Planetization inner work involves first grounding ourselves in our planetary presence. But when we begin to extend the inner work out into the Cosmos, we'll first need to ground ourselves in our Cosmic presence. This Cosmic grounding will be qualitatively different from an astronaut's experience of being in space. We won't just be in our 'local corner' of the Universe, in our local solar system and adjacent to our Earth - but present in the totality of the Cosmos. It bears repeating that we're already in the Universe, we don't need spaceships to 'go' into outer space. It's just a matter of broadening our spatial grounding and sense of place beyond the biospheric scale. Through a greater realization of our planetary presence, our spatial orientation is no longer bound and circumscribed to our local environment (only what our senses can see, hear, smell, touch and taste). But once our spatial orientation is extended beyond the local in this way, then there's no limit whatsoever, to how far we can continue to extend our spatial grounding out into the non-local milieu we exist within. How broadly or narrowly we perceive our existence in space, will then be only a matter of expanding consciousness - it won't involve taking one step further outward from where we're presently located physically.

"What is distance? I know that nothing which truly concerns man is calculable, weighable, measurable. True distance is not the concern of the eye: it is granted only to the spirit."

In the future, each individual's 'felt sense' of their Cosmic presence and togetherness as they carry out the inner work, will be just as real as the gut-level feeling we now have of being 'in' the United States, or 'in' Sweden, because Nation States are just conceptual frameworks of non-local space (where we think we are, but can't confirm through our senses). Our Cosmic presence will feel just as real to us, as the 'felt sense' of our planetary presence which we're now just beginning to actualize. And in the future, as we collectively focus on our Cosmic grounding during the inner work, we'll collectively be phase-entraining our Cosmic grounding within Earth's planetary Noosphere... the Mind of Gaia... Our Cosmic grounding will in this way expand not only our consciousness, but the mind of Gaia, as well.

For this reason, the true importance of our Cosmic grounding extends beyond its evolutionary significance to our species... It represents a major phase-state transition within Earth's Noosphere, as well. It will firmly root the Mind of Gaia within its larger Cosmic context. One Native American teaching tells us that our purpose as humans is to 'unite Heaven and Earth'... And this is the way we will ultimately do so.

"Mythology and folklore... are filled with symbols and  fables expressing the deeply rooted resolve of Earth to find its way to Heaven..."

                                                                               Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

                                                      The Great Involution

"When man re-orients himself to the path of return this is the first step in renewing the harmony that existed within the Absolute in the beginning."

                                                                                                               Martin Lev

                                                                                         The Traveler's Key to Jerusalem

Teilhard de Chardin wasn't the first to intuit evolution as essentially a Cosmic impulse that began with the outward thrust of creation, dispersion, and the physical evolution of matter or forms throughout the Universe - to be followed by an equally Cosmic process of Involution. This inward movement of re-uniting, or as Teilhard de Chardin often called it, "convergence", or "totalization", once again draws together all matter - all physical life throughout the Cosmos - on the level of Spirit and Consciousness. This concept of the physical evolution of matter, or physical form, reaching its outward culmination... then followed by a drawing together again of all matter, or physical forms; on inner levels of Spirit and Consciousness; is a theme common to many esoteric teachings. In ancient Sanskrit writings it's symbolized as the Universal Out breathing and In breathing of Brahma.

Through the inner work, we join in this journey of re-uniting with all life everywhere in this great Cosmic tide of convergence in Spirit and Consciousness. Even the word 'religion' means 'to link together again' with our Divine Source beyond space and time. Though we initially begin this process of convergence, or totalization, at the species-wide planetary level... it will eventually extend beyond our home planet, and co-mingle with others everywhere who are also converging in consciousness and spirit to these same energies.

"(O)ne might say that a hitherto unknown form of religion - one that no one could as yet have imagined or described, for lack of a universe large enough and organic enough to contain it - is burgeoning in the heart of modern man, from a seed sown by the idea of evolution."
